The objective of the research that gives rise to this article is to determine the perception that the public of the Catholic University of Cuenca, Ecuador, has of organizational communication and its management in strengthening the processes of university evaluation and accreditation, where theoretically and methodologically the methods of communication, evaluation, and certification are not usually interconnected. It makes the process and its sustainability ineffective, affecting the whole organization that contributes to the cognitive enrichment of the society where it is located. The methodology is exploratory, descriptive, non-experimental correlational, transactional, and explanatory through the application of a survey to teachers and discussion groups. The results show a mostly unfavorable perception of the role of organizational communication in the evaluation and accreditation processes this university has undergone, which facilitates its full development in all phases of preparation.
