Resumen
PEREZ VILLAR, José. ¿Cómo lee mi paciente?: Contribución a la metodología del examen directo en psiquiatría de niños. Rev Cubana Pediatr [online]. 1996, vol.68, n.3, pp. 201-210. ISSN 1561-3119.
The author porposes the inclusion of a brief reading and interpretation exercise as a component part of the direct test in children's psychiactrics. This activity throws light on the cognitive and affective sphere of children and on their interaction with parents. In the very good or fairly good readers, any type of cognitive deficit may be almost always discarded and it is not necessary to do complementary tests (psychometric, pedagogic, etc.). Among those who read or interpretate badly it may be found the origin of some symptoms which are weongly imputed to other causes, and there may be observed the dysfunctional reactions resulting from school failure dissapointment in children and their relatives. All this will part of the platform to design our therapeutic procedures.
