AGUIAR PEREZ, Brumell Omar y VELAZQUEZ AVILA, René Manuel. Theoretical Approach to the Study of New Technologies and its Importance for University Student Assessment. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2018, vol.37, n.3 ISSN 0257-4314.
This study of new Information and Communication Technologies has contributed to changing the conceptualization of ways and methods of teaching. Changes have caused degree courses to be restructured. New innovative teaching strategies and new formal teaching environments are promoted, where no physical presence of students and their interaction with teachers are required, which is contrary to traditional teaching. Assessing students by using new technologies is a challenge to 21 st century teachers because virtual teaching is not only a complement to Distance Education, students’ presence in the classroom requires that educational technology resources including new technologies be used. This study takes into account different writers’ views on these matters, and other pieces of research into them already conducted.
Palabras clave : technology; virtual learning and assessment environments.
