Resumen
ESCALA CORNEJO, Alfredo Leonardo. Development of a Measurement Tool for Knowledge Management at a Private University. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2020, vol.39, n.3 Epub 01-Oct-2020. ISSN 0257-4314.
The purpose of the study was to develop a reliable and valid instrument for the evaluation of knowledge management in the context of universities. The review of the specialized literature allowed the design of an instrument with twenty-two questions grouped into three dimensions: creation, storage and transfer, and application and use of knowledge. The data was collected in a private university in Guayaquil, Ecuador, from a total sample of 400 people, made up of students, teachers, and authorities. The internal consistency of the scales for the constructs reported adequate values and the analyses performed corroborated the convergent and discriminant validity of the instrument. A structural model was estimated that, of the three dimensions, the strongest direct effect towards knowledge management is derived from the transfer and storage dimension (.97), while the application and use dimension was the weakest predictor (.85).
