Injectable Aloe barbadensis (A. barbadensis) is a pharmaceutical product having the property of stimulating wound healing. Based on it, a model of closed fracture was administered 3 different doses of A. barbadensis by subcutaneous route to study its action on the bone callus. The doses of 0.03, 0.1 and 0.18 mg/kg stimulated bone healing significantly (p <0.05). An increase of the haemoglobin values and a decrease of calcium and phosphorus in the blood were observed in those animals under treatment.
