The fight against pests has always been difficult for man, who has tried various methods to this end, such as the use of natural substances. In comparison with the synthetic products, these natural susbstances are still little exploited. Under Cuba's conditions, the Mentha spicata L. species belonging to the Lamaceas is mainly affected by the Carolinaia cyperi Ainslie insect of the Homoptera order. For its control, it was evaluated the effect of 2 pesticides of botanical origin obtained from Nicotiana tabacum L. with Allium sativum L., and the other from the folliage of Melia azederach L. An experiment was made with 2 treatments. Every treatment was repeated 3 times and included a witness Both products were effective in the control of this aphid after 6 weekly applications.
