The study of the learning styles is a tool which contributes to the teaching learning process, therefore is a topic of vital importance.
Objective:
To analyze the learning styles of first year students of Dentistry degree.
Method:
A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out in the Dental Faculty of Camaguey. The 22 first year students registered for 2019-2020 academic year were included in the study. Theoretical methods included: documents review, analysis - synthesis, and induction-deduction while the empirical methods applied was the Honey-Alonso questionnaire of learning styles. An interpretation scale was used to analyze the results.
Results:
The reflexive learning is the preferred one among all the students with 54, 4%. The theoretical style presents with the same frequency in males.
Conclusions:
The research performed allows to conduct a teaching learning process centered in the individual features of students.
