This scientific article, the objective is to present the partial results of the knowledge that Psychology teachers and students reflect on the science, technology and society approach and its application in the teaching-learning process of the social sciences. The general dialectical-materialist method and for the collection and analysis of information, surveys were processed that were statistically processed and qualitative assessments. From this epistemological perspective, the need to break the positivist paradigm in the teaching-learning process of social sciences in university higher education is raised. Integrating the qualitative and qualitative approach in the investigation and presentation of the information. A problem is characterized that is generated, in this process Teaching-Learning the social sciences from a traditionalist perspective, based on rote, repetitive learning, and the science, technology and society approach is unknown. There is no knowledge of the relationship between the teaching-learning process and the science, technology and society approach that facilitates a more diverse learning that can be used in the daily life of the university student. Likewise, the decent ones, only in minimum percentage have knowledge of this relationship without it having an impact and transcendence in their teaching.
