Introduction:
The evaluation of university faculty is a disturbing topic in university circles. Day by day it becomes more and more important in the daily work of higher medical education centers. Reflections on this subject occupy a privileged place.
Objective:
To motivate reflection on the evaluation of university teachers as a predictive process of excellence in higher medical education centers.
Development:
The achievement of academic excellence in higher medical education centers implies basic procedures that guarantee the continuous improvement of the quality and sustainability of the teaching staff. The evaluation of the university professor's performance stands as a tool of inestimable value.
Conclusions:
The continuous and systematic application of a process of evaluation of the university teacher's performance aimed at improving the quality of teaching, based on concrete proposals that favor an authentic professional development of teachers contributes to the excellence of the academic institution.
