Havana is one of the regions of the country with the highest incidence of hydrometeorological phenomena. In this article, a characterization is made of the perception of the danger of flooding due to intense rains and effects due to strong winds in the province since they are the two main effects that take place in Cuba. Likewise, a characterization of social vulnerability is offered, based on the indicators established by the Cuban methodology for the study of these dangers and the determination of disaster risks at the territorial level. It is evident under recognition of the vulnerability factors that influence the effects that people may suffer. The role of neighborhood organizations, the mass media, family, friends and neighbors is recognized as the main means of information/guidance in the face of dangers.
