The Department of Military Teaching at the “José Antonio Echeverría” Technological University of Havana constitutes a cornerstone in this institution which participates in an active way in the political and ideological work and in the students´ training. It strengthens the ideas of a comprehensive general culture on the topics related to security and defense in correspondence with the engineers and architects training. The present article is about the blended lessons delivered to students from the daily regular courses as an organization form of the teaching- learning process, after the covid-19 pandemic. It shows their essence, content and experiences directed to students training in two fundamental aspects: the patriotic, revolutionary and citizen education as well as their future professional life. The experiences on the blended lessons delivered by the professors of Preparation for the Defense discipline to students from the Industrial Engineering faculty are shown. These lessons enhanced the comprehensive training of the students and the development of their abilities and values in order to increase their knowledge regarding the social demand required by the country´s economic and social politics. This will allow them to focus their performance on the project’s design for contributing to the sustainable development of the country and homeland defense
