A study of 64 patients arterial hypertension during pregnancy was conducted in 1997. The main epidemiological factors were analyzed. Mild pre-eclampsia accounted for 6.1 % of the total of patients with hypertension induced by pregnancy (HIP). Of all the hypertensive patients, 61.1 % had risk factors, among which obesity was in the first place (54.5 %). 85.7 % of the patients with HIP were adolescents, whereas 64.9 % were nuliparous. It was also proved that 52.8 % of the HIP were diagnosed after the 34 weeks.
