The strategy as a tool for action in random, and even adverse situations, emerges from the diagnosis of the problem to face: the need to increase the quality in the professors' teaching-learning process -given their limited educational professional performance -through the availing of CIT's. The educational technology in the theory of the advanced education is conceived as a model that contributes to the improvement of the professors' professional performance. To demonstrate how it contributes, either to the formation process, as well as to the teaching-educational one, within the Ecuadorian context, the case of professors in the Academic Unit of Educational Sciences in the Universidad Católica de Cuenca was studied.
