RODRIGUEZ CHAUD, Ángela; OLIVA JAUME, Edubar Pastor; TORRES RODRIGUEZ, Eugenio y BENITEZ REYES, Delsi. Background on the development of practical skills in the Basic and Organic Chemistry subject. Veterinary Medicine and Zootehnics. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2017, vol.36, n.3, pp. 20-26. ISSN 0257-4314.
The present work shows the results of an experience applied during course 2014-2015 for the development of the practical skills in first year students, in the partial meeting course of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics course in the Basic and Organic Chemistry career in the University of Granma. The objective is to evaluate to what extent it is possible to influence the teaching results with the structuring of a system of actions or operations aimed at developing the practical skills of the said subject, keeping in mind the generalizing skill and the principle stating that such is the only way to achieve a good learning. The experience consisted on the realization of an integrated final practice with ballot papers that included all the experiments performed in the lab practices in the semester. The promotion results compared with those of the previous course show an increase in quality in the teaching-educational process.
