This essay aims to assess the role of two learning styles in the formation of Cuban educational thought and its validity not in current higher education. It is the result of the theoretical reference of ongoing research to obtain the scientific degree Doctor in Educational Sciences. Insert, therefore, in the contribution to scientific production on specific topics of educational sciences; based on thematic objectives that deal with the need to implement or develop learning styles not in current higher education. The results foram obtained from theoretical level methods such as Analysis-Synthesis; Induction-deduction and Historical-logical; those that will allow to systematize, analyze, explain and establish common points identified by different authors studied for the construction of two theoretical assumptions of this research.
