Sexuality is an important aspect in the life of persons and, among them, the adolescents. The purpose of this paper was identify the topics this group of adolescents of the Iguarú health area, in Sancti Spiritus, are most interested in and the ways they prefer to receive this information. The number of pregnancies, deliveries and abortions between 2002 and 2003 is reported. A sample of students from "Santos Caraballé" Urban Secondary Basic School was surveyed. It was proved that there is a great interest in the topics connected with sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy in adolescence, in 38.1 % and 32.7 %, respectively, and that they prefer to get the information from the family physicians and nurses. Based on the results obtained, nursing interventions were established that included links with the school, the family and the family physician's office to contribute to improve the needs of sexuality knowledge.
