PEREZ SANCHEZ, América M y LETICIA MARIA, Bustamante Alfonso. The evaluation as an activity oriented to the transformation of formative processes. Educ Med Super [online]. 2004, vol.18, n.4, pp. 1-1. ISSN 0864-2141.
The main characteristics of the evaluative process are dealt with in the present paper aimed at motivating the reflection among all those who in one way or the other take part in this process. Emphasis is made on the value this activity has for all the sectors of the country, for its executives and educative processes and, specially, for the health sectors. Its foundations are exposed on the theoretical bases supporting it and it is stressed their necessary observance in practice. The evaluation is presented as a dialectic, contradictory, universal and particular process, according to the historical and concrete conditions, and reference is made to the unbalance between the types of additive and formative evaluations that act as dialectic contraries. The basic elements that should be taken into account to develop an evaluative process allowing to verify knowledge and objectives and that be at the same time the starting point of new transformations as a result of the evaluation carried out are approached.
