In the professional major of Human Medicine, a high quality undergraduate educational training is fundamental to ensure good professional development for the future physicians. A multicenter cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out during the month of July 2015, based on the survey's conduction on medical students from seven Peruvian medical schools. Out of the 1228 participants, 50.1% (615) were female, the mean age was 20 years (interquartile range: 18-22 years). 50.7% (623) studied at a private university, and 37.5% (461) reported having flunked at least one course during the major; all aspects assessed had a score between 6 and 8 (in a ten-score scale). In addition, all interquartile ranged from 5 to 9 scores. The satisfaction of medical students assessed is good regarding the teaching of the courses on basic sciences.
