Resumen

A brief biography of Dr. Ramón Zambrana Valdes who had a well-founded prestige as pioneer of the Cuban medical history and also the virtue of having been a prolific publisher is presented. Some formal and content aspects of a magazine founded and managed by Dr Zambrana and entitled "Economic Repertoire of Medicine. Pharmacy and Natural Sciences" are described. That was the fourth magazine specialized in Medicine and Allied Sciences that was circulated in Cuba in the 19th century. Like in the proceding ones, one may find the information crediting for the historical values of the scientific work of those authors who wrote the results of their research works in those pages.
