Nursing is understood as both, a social and cultural phenomenon and a multilateral analysis of it is carried out, studying the features and properties that constitute this phenomenon when being integrated in dialectical combination. Some of the most important elements that are part of this socio- cultural system are studied. Among them we could mention: Specific scientific knowledge of the career, Basic knowledge of Sociology, Training to achieve the social focus of Nursing; and Values: Humanism, Creativity, Language, Communication, Information ND Non inherited memory of the Humanity. A definition of what could be denominated "Culture for the Social Work of Nurses" is proposed and it is concluded that the understanding of others' culture and the expansion of one's own, helps to a great extent to achieve the perfection of nursing attention in the community towards families and different human groups
