The current article is a scientific approach to a very important theme for the Cuban society: the migration of young people and the role of the family in this process. The significance of this phenomenon is related with the negative impacts of Migration of young people to other countries, on the all spheres of Cuban Society, including the economic and social development. The article is based on the case study that tried to explain the links among the emigration of young persons and the strategies designed and developed by their families -which live in the locality known as “Consejo Popular Plaza” located in the municipality with the same name. As a result of this research, the role of the family related to the migratory process, were proved. Although only in few cases, the whole family took part in the decision of migrating of their young members, diverse familiar strategies have been developed after the migration act.
