Resumen

The behavior of the main demographic variables is described in the period 2012-2016, scenario that marks the incorporation to the Articulate Platform for the Territorial Integral Development (PADIT) of the county Santiago de Cuba. As results, the territory possesses a growing aged population which indicates its location in the Group of Aging III. The fertility goes from low to very low, and doesn't exist substitution. The general mortality and the infantile mortality possess drops rates. The life expectancy is high, being the women older than men. Migration acquires upward values with the population's high preference to move toward Havana like destination place, with prevalence of the feminine sex. Some topics that should be assisted prioritarily are: adolescent fecundity, migration and aging.
