The understanding that science and technology are social processes must be made aware by researchers and decision makers today. The link between science and technology available the emergence of the term, which through computer programs encourages the development of processes at a higher speed. At the present time, achieving sustainable development in the territories is elementary, it is essential that the future population that it will have in the short and medium term is known, since it achieved the design of successful public policies. The present work aims to assess the incidence of technoscience in population projections for territorial development. The work with computer programs for population estimates and projections shows how technoscience can influence the development of a territory in a timely and adequate manner. At present this activity assumes greater importance, due to the decentralization process that is carried out in the country, and the municipality acquires greater relevance.
