Presently work historical aspects of the leaching process are exposed carbonate-ammonia for the treatment of the recovered of the nickel and cobalt of the reduced laterities ores, the historical antecedents are described from the technological point of view of the use of the solution ammonia for the technologies of recovery the Copper and Zinc, until the emergence of the technology Caron, for the prosecution of the laterities ores of iron, with elements polimetalics including the nickel and cobalt, as well as some of the existent problems during their prosecution.
