Higher education allows a wide range of topics to investigate since several factors intervene in classroom coexistence, which generate guidelines to detect academic performance. The objective is to diagnose the state of communication and interpersonal relationships among students of the Leveling and Admission Institute. The type of study is descriptive, the population is 83 students belonging to the AF parallel of the Law career online mode and 5 teachers who teach the subject of Social Studies and Geopolitics. The type of sampling is intentional non-probabilistic. Theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical methods were used, as instruments a script of semi-structured questions and questionnaires were used. It was possible to determine the factors that intervene in communication in the classroom and the way in which interpersonal relationships influence the students of the institute in question. It is necessary to generate new practices for communication in the classroom, which allow promoting interpersonal relationships in a more assertive way through different communication channels.
