In the current economic situation in the world, it is necessary to search for legal alternatives that offer greater sustainability to small businesses, which support a large part of national production. Thus, the regulation of sole proprietorships becomes especially relevant, as an organizational form that allows limiting the liability of the sole partner. The purpose of this article is to analyze the risks and advantages of the existence of a sole shareholder in the corporation, demonstrating both the possible risks in the performance of the sole shareholder, as well as the benefits of its regulation as one of the alternatives to the individual entrepreneur.
