On examining a child with hematuria, the pediatrician should be able of identifying early some of the diseases that according to their severe prognosis or complex diagnosis, require the immediate consultation with the pediatric nephrologist. At the same time, the specialist should distinguish the benign ones and to avoid, this way, unnecessary and expensive scannings.
