This paper proposes a method of teaching how to analyze audiovisual messages that appear in the press, based on critical studies of multimodal discourses. It starts by considering audiovisual language to be multimodal. It also deals with the complexitys of the sames, describes audiovisual press language, and presents the main pedagogical resources used in teaching that useful how to analyze audiovisual messages that appear in the press, with these being considered multimodal.
