Resumen

SOCARRAS FERRER, Beatriz et al. Comparison of the immunocytochemical ultramicromethod and the alkaline phosphatase - anti-alkaline phosphatase method for the quantification of T lymphocyte subsets. Rev Cubana Hematol Inmunol Hemoter [online]. 2002, vol.18, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-2996.

A comparative study was conducted on the immunoenzymatic method based on the alkaline phosphatase - anti-alkaline phosphatase complex and the immunocytochemical ultramicromethod used for detecting antigen markers and for the quantification of T-lymphocyte subsets Cell antigens CD3, CD4 and CD8 from 30 apparently healthy adults were studied. When comparing the outcome of both techniques, statistically significant differences were found, (p< 0,05). It was concluded that although the diagnostic efficiency of both methods are similar, the alkaline phosphatase - anti-alkaline phosphatase method is quicker, more economical and less laborious than the immunocytochemical ultramicromethod, so it is recommended as a procedure of choice for these cell studies
