For the strengthening of the social function of the school and for the achievements proposed for all students, society needs a change in the conception of education, giving priority to students to overcome the difficulties that prevent them from progressing in school, and achieve success in learning actions. Within these changes is included in the emotional strategies that allow the student to get to know himself better and be more autonomous and responsible, thus ensuring that not only his academic progress, but also personal or professional. In this work, the coaching technique will be addressed as a work tool through which the teaching process can be improved. Learning starts with the focus on people and drives them towards the future, towards the fulfillment of their goals. For this we begin with a review of its origin and definition, the pillars on which it is based, until placing us in the educational coaching and the fundamental work that the teacher plays in it.
