PELEGRIN MARTINEZ, Antonio Ángel y PADRO SUAREZ, Lissetti. Implantable automatic defibrillator pacemaker in relatives with Brugada syndrome. MEDISAN [online]. 2011, vol.15, n.11, pp. 1639-1646. ISSN 1029-3019.
One of the subjects of a family composed of 5 members, from an urban area, went to a medical department of the Cardiology Service a week before being hospitalized due to perspiration events, dwindles, and occasionally heart racing. At the hospital center, he was diagnosed Brugada syndrome through a cardiogram, subsequently confirmed by electrophysiological study. This finding was also observed in a close relative. Two automatic defibrillator pacemakers were placed in both brothers. Two other relatives were discharged from the medical institution.
