This research is aimed at the design of a machining workshop for the repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery in the Alquízar municipality, Artemisa province. Through direct interviews with farmers and directors of cooperatives in the area, the existence of a large number of agricultural equipment in poor technical condition was determined, due to the absence of a mechanical workshop that provides services to the cooperative sector of the municipality. For this reason, the National Association of Small Farmers of Artemisa, requested the setting up of a machining workshop in Alquízar through the Cooperative Support Project (APOCOOP) with the collaboration and willingness of the Oxford Committee for Family Relief (OXFAM), to finance this purpose. With this workshop, the agricultural park of the cooperatives linked to the project guarantees maintenance and repair services without delay, using the land of the Capitan Tomás Agricultural Production Cooperative as a location.
