MATEU LOPEZ, Liliana. Knowledge management in the pharmaceutical services. Rev Cubana Farm [online]. 2014, vol.48, n.4, pp. 701-708. ISSN 1561-2988.
Knowledge Management is an international and systematic process or practice of acquisition, capture, shared and productive use of knowledge wherever they are with a view to improving learning and performance of organizations. It involves teamwork, sharing knowledge, creating new styles of leadership, commitment and other aspects that generate a new culture in the organization, and facilitates sharing of all types of knowledge to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization as effectively as possible. Pharmaceutical Services generally have enormous volume of information that is underutilized and is not accessible. The information allows the generation of knowledge that is why it must be publicly available and used for individual and collective development of the institution. The knowledge generated by these services is much more useful if it is shared and socialized and if no knowledge islands are set. Undoubtedly, this can result in developing professional skills, potentiating research works and contributing to the rise of the quality of service provided. The objective of this paper was to provide an overview of the importance of knowledge management for development of Pharmaceutical Services. To this end, a review of available scientific literature was made up to February 2014. Websites, published articles and books, either printed or electronic, were consulted. The search patterns were based on combined terms such as knowledge, information, management-knowledge, information management, management-knowledge-pharmacy and management-knowledge-pharmaceutical services.
