This assay examines why it is so important to view law and its institutions from a gender perspective which is considered to be a new egalitarian and humanistic point of view. The impact of sexist stereotypes on violent behaviors affecting social relations is analyzed. Sexuality is considered to be in need of legal protection, which has arisen from patriarchy, its inequality and ideology. General theory of law, criminology, and criminal law, among other things, are used with the aim of showing that women have been historically submissive to the exercise of power that appears in regulations and legal dogmatics.
