ALFONSO CONCEPCION, Annelys. Process of Political Socialization and Political Culture: Analysis and Theoretical Perspectives. UH [online]. 2018, n.286, pp. 183-192. ISSN 0253-9276.
Nowadays, studies of political culture and the process of political socialization are becoming particularly important, and are given priority in several scientific disciplines. This is taking place in a context where the process of political socialization is considered to be fundamental to transmitting, accepting, and assimilating values, beliefs, and models of political behavior. That's the reason why political culture is a result of the process of political socialization which deals with shaping, reinforcing, or transforming political relations and processes that might be or not consistent with the dominant and/or hegemonic political system. At this moment when society is required to have politically educated citizens, and there is a pressing need for political literacy of civil society, it is necessary to examine the process of socialization, and political culture from the different theories and perspectives underlying them.
