CASTILLO GONZALEZ, Dunia. Clinical method in the study of a patient with bleeding tendency: history and physical examination. Rev Cubana Hematol Inmunol Hemoter [online]. 2015, vol.31, n.3, pp. 312-317. ISSN 1561-2996.
Bleeding is one of the leading causes of consultation in daily medical practice of the hematologist. Different hemorrhagic manifestations are not always caused by disorders of hemostasis. The proper application of clinical method is essential to correctly orient these patients. Individuals with disorders of hemostasis often have prolonged, recurrent and usually excessive bleeding. In this review we present some considerations to bear in mind when we face this kind of patient where an effective interview with appropriate physical examination may lead to a diagnostic impression that will allow us to direct further studies and use them wisely.
