The universe It consisted of 86 infants under one year of age with acute respiratory infection. A form was prepared that included risk factors, which constituted the variables: age, sex, mixed and artificial lactation, low birth weight, overcrowding, incomplete immunization, smoking parents, possession of domestic animals and associated diseases. The most significant risk factors were mixed and artificial lactation (68.6%), possession of domestic animals (60.4%) and parental smoking (44.1%).
