Background: leprosy is a communicable disease that is difficult to diagnose, it primarily affects the skin and peripheral nerves, which has not been eradicated worldwide. WHO reports annually more than 150 countries with cases, including the American continent. In Cuba the prevention and control of it is a line of work of the Provincial Department of Health. Case presentation: clinical and epidemiological behavior of three leprosy cases over 45 years, of both genders, signs, symptoms and diagnostic laboratory evidence of the disease are stated. Conclusions: the presented cases had late diagnosis of leprosy with grade 2 of disability, once diagnosed the established treatment was applied, with satisfactory clinical evolution.
