Background:
The use of retentive upper acrylic plates and extension of lingual elements for the treatment of mandibular retrognathism is a novel option in Cuba.
Objective:
To illustrate the result in a patient with mandibular retrognathism treated with the Neville Bass device.
Case Report:
A 9 year-old, half blood, female patient, with neuromuscular dysfunction, having poor intermaxillary relationship, caused by mandibular retrognathism, the patient was treated with the Neville Bass device.
Conclusions:
The treatment using the Neville Bass device allowed obtaining a correct relation of their bone bases.
