The research tries to evaluate the current management of hospital solid waste in the Jerusalem Clinic in the city of Riobamba. The studied a descriptive- quantitative - prospective - quantitative type, surveys and direct participatory observation were carried out, data collection instruments; with several people who make up the clinic. It was found that 40% of the workers in the clinic do not have correct knowledge of waste management distribution, in addition to poor management of current environmental legislation. The final evaluation results in a partial compliance of 73,25% , were the evaluation, registration and training system must be complied with as indicated in the manual of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador; without adequate knowledge of waste management endangers personal safety, patients, doctors, visitors and the environment.
