Higher education institutions have the responsibility to fulfil the social task of disseminating/spreading the scientific knowledge generated from the development of their research. For the Cuban university claustre, scientific communication of research results is a demand of the regulatory bodies for their functions, yet there are inconsistencies between what is expected and reality. The following work outlines the particularities of scientific communication in Cuban universities, as well as the results of a survey applied to 104 university professors showing interesting results of their perception of the development of this process. The methodology used looked at the mixed approach from a qualitative - quantitative positioning. Theoretical and empirical methods such as analytics - synthetic, inductive - deductive, documentary analysis and survey were used. The aim of the presentation is to explore the current state of scientific communication of research results from professors at universities in Havana.
