The article aims to describe the theoretical model for the evaluation, classification and improvement of the degree of technological intensity in Cuban companies. For its elaboration, research methods were used, such as: logical historical analysis, document review and mathematical-statistical techniques. The model is based on four premises and 11 principles to build the structural elements. The theoretical and methodological foundations are based on organization theory, specifically with the focus on resources and capabilities. The theoretical verification of the tooling proposed in the model is presented, this allows it to be considered a technology. It was possible to demonstrate, from the theoretical point of view, the validity and reliability of the proposed model. The above allows us to affirm that this model is reliable, has considerable utility, and has a high degree of usability and objectivity.
