The present study describes the criteria of the experts selected to issue judgments on a proposed procedure that evaluates the economic sustainability of the renewable energy investment project in the province of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba. This analysis is linked to the extension of the concept of traditional investment evaluation towards a more sustainable evaluation. The chosen scenario had the second national place, in terms of installed renewable energy capacity, at the time of the research cut-off, hence its importance. The selected expert modality corresponds to the Delphi Method, one of the most popular and used techniques, in which, for data processing, the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 software was used. The fundamental results of the expertise are directed towards the use of the Sustainable Net Present Value as the fundamental indicator of the methodological recommendations to be proposed.
