An updated revision of hiperbaric oxigenation was carried out, based on the results obtained during five years of experience, from January, 1990, to December, 1994, with patients who underwent oncological reconstructions of the neck and head, derivated from concomitant tumoral resections treated with hyperbaric oxigenation. The cicatrization level and the vitality of the flaps, were considered as satisfactory; as well as an important reduction of the sepsis degree reported among the patients treated in a combined form. The postoperative length of stay is also analyzed.
