A retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out with 120 medical histories of patients aged 0-10 that received medical attention at the consultation room of Pediatric-Juvenile Gynecology , in the municipality of Playa, from September 1st, 1997, to September 30th, 2001. The following variables were analyzed: chief complaints, germs found in the Pap smears, treatments used, evolution of the patients seen and the participation of the relatives of these patients in the consultations. It was concluded that leukorrhea was the main chief complaint, followed by pelvic pain and puberty disorders, that bacterial vaginosis was the most common cause of leukorrhea and that the participation of the family in these consultations is fundamental.
