Resumen

GUTIERREZ GONZALEZ, Nayma; ENRIQUEZ DOMINGUEZ, Bárbara  y  VILLAR NOVELL, Ángel Luis. Giant condyloma and pregnancy . Rev Cubana Obstet Ginecol [online]. 2003, vol.29, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3062.

A patient with a giant condyloma acuminatum (Bushke-Lowenstein's tumor) during pregnancy is presented. The considerable growth of this condyloma in the anoperineal region with spreading to the vulva produced a complete obstruction of the vagina and made impossible the access to the gynecological examination. The disease required cesarean section to prevent a possible neonatal infection in the newborn infant. The injury was surgically treated after puerperium and it evolved satisfactorily and without relapses.

Palabras clave : CONDYLOMATA ACUMINATA [surgery]; PERGNANCY COMPLICATIONS, INFECTIOUS; PAPILLOMAVIRUS INFECTIONS; SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE; CESAREAN.
