Education and health are going close each to raise the population quality of life. Cuba has shown how in schools it is possible to promote the health through implementation of a Sexual Education Program. In Secondary Schools this program has a merely informative character, using not much didactic means. OBJECTIVE: to design a didactic proposal to improve the knowledge on sexual education in students from Baraguá Secondary School to determine the knowledge level of students on sexual education matters; variables studied included: sex, age, knowledge level on these matters, sources of these knowledges. In cohort were included all students of eighth degree of this school, data were processed using the statistic SPSS package for Windows Version 11.5; results are expressed in tables. METHODS: this research was conducted in «Baraguá» Secondary School to determine the level of knowledge in students on sexual education matters; variables studies included sex, age, knowledge level on these matters and the source of these knowledges. Group included all students of eighth degree of this school, data were processed using SPSS as statistical package for Windows Version 11.5 where results were expressed in tables. RESULTS: prevailing age group was 13 years and more representative one was the female sex; the more known sexual transmitted infections was the AIDS, syphilis and gonorrhea; and the contraceptive methods were the condom ant contraceptive pills. CONCLUSIONS: There is a total lack of knowledge on contraceptive methods, the abortion and sexual transmitted infections. The Website allows improving the sexual education in students with a high level of acceptation by students and professors.
