The article addresses the increasing prominence of China in international finances and monetary relationships, and stresses the scale its currency may be able to reach as part of the strategy to strengthen its international position. The analysis covers three critical areas of such strategy: the strengthening and internationalization of the yuan, the consolidation of the domestic financial system, and the reinforcement of its position in international finances.
