The input-output modeling is a technique that makes possible to evaluate the policies' or shocks effects on the sectorial productive levels. The input-output different models' statistical ground is the input-output matrix, which collects and processes great volumes of information, frequently obtained through censuses and pools that may vary either in its scope, as well as in the timing of its application. Due to the need of increasing the arsenal towards the evaluation of economic policies in Cuba, it is necessary for the country to call upon a consolidated statistical ground. The present paper debates the availability and quality of Cuban statistics as to the methodological recommendations associated to the creation of input-output matrix, as well as some variants to capture the absent information.
