HIDALGO GALLO, Rosibel. What Has Changed in the International Trade of Goods with the Current Context of Covid-19?. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2022, vol.166, n.2 Epub 15-Dic-2022. ISSN 0252-8584.
The article examines the most outstanding aspects in the recent evolution of the international trade in goods and negotiations in the World Trade Organization (WTO). The crisis triggered by the pandemic Covid-19 brought to light with greater intensity some changes that were being looking at trends; among which stand out the loss of dynamism of trade in goods, the greater prominence of the activity trade in Asia and tensions in trade policies. The effects of the pandemic on international trade were more severe during the first half of 2020. The slight improvement in the middle of the year had a very short duration and in the second semester the reopening was stopped due to the regrowth of the pandemic. Economic activity was again limited and in the year 2021 international trade also underwent important changes.
